Ohio State Zero Waste – Game 1 – 2012

So it’s the first game of the 2012 season. We learned a lot last year and are only getting better this year!  The newest process we added this year was that a Zero Waste group would visit every stand and cart to pick up the compost.  This process helps reinforce zero waste education and holds the groups accountable (in a good way) for clean compost.  I personally like it because I don’t have to dig in as much waste! And, of course, it’s more efficient and successful.  It’s a great win.  As a result, we had our largest collection of compost yet in one game.  We still have a few kinks to work out but it was a great start!

Each stand and cart receives gray tubs that are used to capture their compost and then we collect it after the game.
